The Black Candle Makers Club (BCMC) will host the BCMC ATL Summit 2026: Honoring Business Creatives Universally, September 24-27 in Atlanta, bringing together product-based entrepreneurs, beauty and wellness founders, self-care brands and business creatives from across the country.

While BCMC began as a community supporting Black candle makers, its reach has expanded to entrepreneurs building brands across fragrance, beauty, skincare, bath and body, wellness and self-care services.

SHEEN Magazine will serve as a media partner for the 2026 BCMC ATL Summit. As SHEEN celebrates its 20th anniversary, the collaboration connects the publication’s legacy of spotlighting culture, beauty, entrepreneurship and influential voices with BCMC’s mission to honor, educate and elevate business creatives.

The four-day Summit was created to address a challenge many creative entrepreneurs face: how to make an exceptional product without always having access to the business education needed to turn that product into a profitable, sustainable company.

Attendees will receive practical instruction in financial strategy, funding, business credit, brand positioning, marketing, legal protection, systems, leadership, and business growth.

The Summit’s 2026 faculty includes David Shands of The Social Proof Podcast; Candace Holyfield-Parker of Seven Figure Spa Chick; Dr. Britni Ricard (Bee Marie), CEO of Cota Skin; Angela Brock of Hello Breakthrough; Marketing by Monrae; Rosezena Pierce, Esq. (The Biz Lawyer); Princess Dior; Coach K; Mz Skittlez; Coach Cassy; Journae Stanley; Coach Sevyn; and Bryant “Big Sexy” Bee, among other respected founders and business leaders.

“Some of the most talented entrepreneurs are creating extraordinary products but still trying to figure out the business side alone,” said Julia “Jewelz” Amponsah-Gilder, Founder and President of BCMC. “This Summit is about putting education, strategy, relationships and opportunity in the same room.”

BCMC’s impact has also received civic recognition. In 2025, the organization received a City of Houston proclamation recognizing September 27 as Black Candle Makers Club Day, commemorating BCMC’s contribution to entrepreneurship education and community.

The Summit will include keynote presentations, breakout sessions, networking experiences, a welcome mixer, VIP experiences, the BCMC Yard Fest Marketplace, the 4th Annual BCMC Homecoming Candle Ball & Awards Show, Commencement Brunch, and a live entrepreneur pitch competition.

Vendor Opportunity: BCMC Yard Fest Marketplace

BCMC is currently seeking select entrepreneurs to participate in the Yard Fest Marketplace on Saturday, September 26 from 11 AM-4 PM.

The marketplace will provide product-based beauty, wellness, and self-care brands an opportunity to sell, increase visibility, and connect directly with entrepreneurs and business leaders attending the Summit.

Saturday evening will transition from business to celebration with the Summit’s signature 90s-themed Candle Ball, including a red-carpet experience, awards, entertainment, networking, and recognition of entrepreneurs making an impact through their businesses.
