One man is dead following a shooting on a small farm in Bexon shortly after midday on Wednesday.
Family members identified the victim as Cleus Soolal.
An eyewitness told St Lucia Times that he heard gunshots, including what sounded like a machine gun.
“Then I saw two fellas with masks running towards the river,” the witness said.
St Lucia Times was told Soolal was a farmer who planted potatoes on the farm.
Police arrived on the scene shortly after the shooting and have launched an investigation.
