First-Generation Nigerian American Creator of Akora

For Chika Dennis, success is larger than a financial milestone, a title, or a completed to-do list. The first-generation Nigerian American entrepreneur, investor, author, and creator of Akora has built her career at the intersection of technology, wealth-building, and personal transformation. A child prodigy who skipped three grades and entered college at 16, Dennis later earned degrees in technology management, business, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence while navigating motherhood, work, and rebuilding.

Her journey has included working two jobs, raising children, receiving food assistance, and overcoming personal, financial, and health challenges. Today, Dennis manages an eight-figure investment portfolio that includes real estate and private equity investments in more than 30 companies, while building ventures designed to help others create lasting change.

As the founder of Akora, an AI-powered life-transformation platform, Dennis helps users turn long-term goals into realistic daily action across the mind, body, money, and soul.

Do you believe in work-life balance? How do you maintain it?

Chika Dennis: I believe balance changes depending on the season.

There were seasons when I was working two jobs while putting myself through school. I received my bachelor’s degree at 23 while nine months pregnant. Balance was not the goal during those years. Survival and progress were.

Today, I am more intentional about how I use my time. I protect my health, my faith, my sons, and the work I believe I am called to do.

My calendar has to reflect my priorities, not just my responsibilities. That requires discipline, boundaries, and honesty about what deserves my attention.

What do you define as success?

Chika Dennis: Success is having the freedom to build a life that reflects who you are and what you believe you were put here to do.

I went from being a single mother receiving food assistance and surviving personal, financial, and health crises to creating security for my family and building companies designed to transform lives. That is success to me.

It is the ability to reinvent yourself, rise above your circumstances, and refuse to let your worst chapter become your final chapter. It is failing big, learning the lesson, and still finding a way to win big.

Why does Akora use the framework of mind, body, money, and soul?

Chika Dennis: Akora runs on the methodology that real progress is achieved when the mind, body, money, and soul are aligned with the same goal in mind.

Productivity helps you complete more tasks. Transformation changes your life.

Akora is not designed to help people squeeze more work into an overwhelming day. It is designed to help them become healthier, wealthier, more confident, more disciplined, and more fulfilled.

It supports goals involving career, health, relationships, wealth, mental wellness, parenting, spiritual growth, and personal discipline. Akora cares about what you accomplish, but also who you are becoming while you accomplish it.

What advice would you give someone who wants to make real change but keeps starting over?

Chika Dennis: Your life does not change because you finally find the perfect book, podcast, plan, or moment. It changes when you make one different decision and continue making better decisions from there.

No matter how much time you believe you have lost, you can begin again today. Your circumstances may explain where you are, but they do not get to decide where you end up.

It is never too late to rebuild. Your next life can begin with your next step.

What is the deeper purpose behind your work?

Chika Dennis: I created Akora because I know what it feels like to have goals, potential, and the desire to change your life but still not know what to do next.

The world is overflowing with advice. People already know many of the things they should be doing. The problem is turning that knowledge into consistent action.

Akora takes wisdom and turns it into action. It turns goals into daily steps, intention into consistency, and potential into measurable change.

Chika Dennis is helping redefine achievement as a whole-life practice—inviting people to pursue ambition without abandoning their health, values, relationships, faith, or personal growth.
