Lil Durk breaks his silence after being found not guilty in his federal murder-for-hire trial.

On Friday, September 11, the Chicago rapper was found not guilty on all counts in the case. The verdict was a major win for Smurk, who faced  testimony from former affiliates who pointed him as the ringleader behind criminal activity involving OTF.

Following the verdict, Durk posted a photo of his defense team and expressed his gratitude to those who supported him throughout the case.

“Against all odds, we’re stronger together. Allah doesn’t make mistakes. I feel all the love and positive energy. Now let me be free to help save our kids and bring unity back to our communities. I couldn’t have made it this far without my family, my lawyers, and supporters. Freedom. Freedom. Freedom.“

The infamous troll 6ix9ine jumped into the comments, questioning why Durk remains behind bars despite winning the case.

“How come you still locked up right now I don’t get it if you won? Someone explain. #freedom.”

While Durk was acquitted in the murder-for-hire case, he still faces a separate racketeering case, which is scheduled to begin October 5.

The racketeering case is connected to the 2022 shooting death of Stephon Mack, which prosecutors allege is tied to the broader criminal enterprise case against Durk.

For now, Durk has secured a major victory in one case, but his legal battle is not over just yet.
