By Zoila Palma: A 65-year-old retiree from Blackman Eddy Village, Cayo told police that sometime between 12:30 to 12:50 am on Tuesday, he was asleep and awakened by 4 masked men inside his home.
The elderly retiree said that 3 of them were dressed in full black clothing and 1 of them had a long white pants and a white shirt and was armed with a gun.
The elderly man says the men forced him off his bed and ransacked the home.
The thieves reportedly found $8000 that the man had hidden under his bed.
The culprits then pointed the gun at the elderly man and demanded more money and when he said that was all he had, the thieves punched him.
The man managed to run to his neighbor’s home and screamed for help.
That was when he saw the thieves escaping in a blue Nissan rogue.
Police investigation continue.
