Rapper BigXthaPlug Busted For DWI, Packing A Gun & Marijuana

BigXthaPlug is facing serious legal trouble after getting arrested in Collin County on August 21, 2026, as his legal issues are stacking up fast.

The Dallas rapper was booked on driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession of less than two ounces, and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to FOX 9.

He was supposed to perform at the Country Rising Festival that same day but canceled due to what organizers called a “personal emergency.”

Turns out he was busted by the cops.

This arrest marks the third time in less than two years that BigXthaPlug has found himself in legal crosshairs.

Back in February 2025, he caught a marijuana possession charge in Arlington that eventually got dismissed. Then, exactly one year ago on August 21, 2025, he was arrested in Dallas on similar charges after his album I Hope You’re Happy dropped, facing marijuana possession and firearm charges that time around too.

The pattern’s hard to ignore, and it’s raising questions about what’s really happening in his world.

What makes this moment even heavier is the loss he’s been carrying.

His close friend ZeeTheWizard, the rising Dallas rapper whose real name was Zecquire Fields, was shot in the head during a New Year’s Day shooting at Pinkhouse Dallas nightclub and died from his injuries on January 5, 2026.

BigXthaPlug mourned publicly, and the tragedy highlighted just how dangerous the streets have been for the Dallas rap community.
