The National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U) has launched two new e-services under the Uganda Digital Acceleration Project (UDAP-GovNet), targeting improvements in teacher training and access to justice.
The first, the U-Learn Platform, was developed in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sports to provide teachers and instructors at Teacher Training Institutions with self-paced training in digital literacy, pedagogy and financial literacy. The platform is also designed to support offline access to learning materials.
More than 6,600 teachers and instructors from 26 Teacher Training Institutions have enrolled on U-Learn, while over 380 users have earned verified digital certificates.
The second platform, the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) Case Management System, digitises the Commission’s processes for receiving, assigning, investigating and resolving complaints. The system provides a trackable record of cases from registration through to closure, while strengthening reporting on case trends and institutional accountability.
Both platforms form part of 14 e-services being rolled out under UDAP-GovNet as Uganda expands digital government services across ministries, departments and agencies.
