By Zoila Palma: The Belize Police Department hosted a luncheon on Saturday, August 15, 2026, to honor retired police officers from the Southern Region and recognize their years of dedicated service to the Department and the people of Belize.
Held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the luncheon provided an opportunity for retired officers to reconnect with former colleagues, share memories and celebrate the lasting bonds formed during their years of service within the Belize Police Department.
The retirees expressed their appreciation for the recognition and extended special thanks to Minister of Home Affairs Julius Espat and Commissioner of Police Richard Rosado.
The Belize Police Department said it proudly salutes its retired officers, emphasizing that their service continues to matter and their legacy remains part of the institution.
