BLACKPINK’s LISA & JISOO Announce New Solo Projects Hours Apart From Each Other
The news comes just a few days after JENNIE revealed that her solo EP is coming soon.

BLACKPINK is entering a solo era, together. On the heels of JENNIE‘s announcement that she has a solo EP coming soon, both JISOO and LISA have revealed that they, too, have projects in the works.

The two bandmates broke the news Monday (Aug. 24), sharing their announcements just a few hours apart on social media. Starting with JISOO, the Boyfriend on Demand actress posted a spooky video teaser featuring what appears to be an off-kilter carnival scene, with animatronic Five Nights at Freddy’s-esque animals twitching and glitching after dark.
According to text that flashes on screen, JISOO’s album will be titled Click and is expected to drop on Sept. 4.
Shortly afterward, LISA unveiled the cover art for her next set of songs, Press Play, which will arrive Oct. 23. The artwork shows the White Lotus alum staring down the camera in a chic dress with her ultra long hair fluttering in the air.
“First single SaWaDiKa,” LISA also revealed in the caption. “Out Sept 3.”
The projects follow a triumphant BLACKPINK reunion that kicked off last year, which saw the quartet embark on a global stadium tour. In February, JISOO, LISA, JENNIE and ROSÉ released their Deadline EP, debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard 200.
Before that, all four performers had taken time apart to explore their solo careers, with ROSÉ, LISA and JENNIE all dropping debut albums — Rosie, Alter Ego and Ruby, respectively — and JISOO releasing EP Amortage in that period. Prior to LISA’s Press Play and JISOO’s Click later this year, JENNIE’s recently announced EP Fallen Angel will hit streaming services on Aug. 28, featuring three songs: “FALLEN ANGEL,” “HEAVEN” and “Less Than a Lover.”
JISOO has been teasing for a while that she was gearing up to finally unleash a debut album in 2026. In a May interview with V Magazine, she said that she was “working on showing a wider range of music” in her first full-length, and on Hot Ones in July, she explained that reuniting with BLACKPINK last year pushed her to return to the studio as a soloist and “further explore my true colors through this adventure I’m on.”
Fans have also known that LISA had new solo music in the works after Vanity Fair reported in June that she was in the midst of creating her sophomore album.
