Boris Kodjoe is heading to Fox’s hit crime drama Memory of a Killer for its upcoming second season. The Station 19 and Soul Food star joins the recurring cast opposite Patrick Dempsey, with Season 2 scheduled to premiere in midseason 2027.
Inspired by the 2003 Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer, the series stars Dempsey as Angelo Doyle, a contract hitman living a double life while confronting early-onset Alzheimer’s. As his memory fades and threats against his family escalate, Angelo must balance his clandestine career, personal life, and declining health.
“@nicoleariparker told me I needed to get out of the house more. Grateful to get to mix it up with some legends,” Kodjoe posted on Instagram.
Kodjoe will step into the role of Tré, described as the “fourth musketeer” of a close-knit childhood friend group alongside Angelo (Dempsey), Dutch (Michael Imperioli), and Angelo’s brother Michael (Richard Clarkin). Tré stands out as the only member of the group who “broke good”, building a career as a high-level corporate executive and earning accolades for saving their childhood community center.
Produced by Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment, the drama is showrun by Aaron Zelman and Glenn Kessler, with Dempsey executive producing. Kodjoe’s casting follows news that Meta Golding has also joined the Season 2 ensemble.
