BURNABY RCMP are investigating a report of an indecent act which took place in a local park washroom.
At 7 p.m. on August 19, Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of an indecent act in a public washroom on the west side of Central Park. The victim reported he had gone to use the men’s washroom when a man stood next to him and began masturbating. Police attended, but the suspect had left the scene.
The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male, 35 to 40 years old, 5’10”, with a slim build, who was wearing a black T-shirt, multi-coloured shorts, and had a fanny pack over his shoulder.
Investigators are working to gather evidence in an effort to identify the suspect and will be looking for any potential connections to previously reported incidents. Police want to ensure the public is aware of this incident, so they can take appropriate safety precautions, including remaining aware of their surroundings and immediately reporting any suspicious activity.
