DJ Warras murderer gets 25 years in jail

One of the men accused of murdering radio personality and DJ Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock has been sentenced to 25 years in prison by the Johannesburg High Court.
Mozambican national Joaquim Armando Pacula pleaded guilty to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and contravening the Immigration Act.
His conviction and sentence followed a plea and sentence agreement reached with the State.
Fatally shot
DJ Warras was fatally shot outside the Zambesi building in central Johannesburg in December 2025.
Pacula has now been sentenced to 25 years’ imprisonment for his role in the killing.
The case against his co-accused, Victor Majola, remains before the court.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority, Majola’s matter has been postponed to 17 August 2026 for the conclusion of the pre-trial conference.
The latest development means Pacula will serve his sentence while the legal proceedings against Majola continue.
