By Zoila Palma: Today, Hon. Francis Fonseca, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, attended the 2026 Taiwan Scholarship Orientation along with H.E. Dame Froyla Tzalam, Governor-General of Belize, and H.E. Amino Chi, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Minister Fonseca encouraged the scholarship recipients to capitalize on this valuable opportunity and serve as Belize’s ambassadors in Taiwan.
Fonseca also emphasized the importance of recipients returning home to Belize and putting into action what they learn through this opportunity.
Fonseca expressed appreciation to the Government and people of Taiwan for their “continued generosity and commitment to Belize’s development,” particularly through investments in education and opportunities for Belizean students.
