The Moroccan-American rapper will make his first AFROTRAX appearance at Ostrich Farm, also known as The Ostrich, in Cape Town on Friday, 4 December 2026. The following day, Saturday, 5 December, the festival heads to The Canvas in Johannesburg for a second night of music and entertainment.

Best known for international hits such as “Unforgettable,” “No Stylist,” “Pop That” and “Ain’t Worried About Nothin’,” French Montana will headline a line-up that brings together global recognition and some of South Africa’s biggest hip-hop names.

Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Blxckie, YoungstaCPT, Kabelo Motha and Jai’R have all been announced as part of the support line-up, setting the stage for a distinctly South African celebration alongside the international headliner.

The two-day festival series is being presented by AFROTRAX in partnership with PLAYY. Music, with organisers positioning the brand as a broader celebration of African music, culture and fashion rather than simply another concert.

“AFROTRAX represents a new chapter in African live entertainment,” organisers said. “Our vision is to build a platform that celebrates African culture while connecting audiences with some of the most influential artists in the world.”

They added that launching the platform with French Montana marks an important milestone and the beginning of a much bigger vision for the brand.

The Cape Town edition will take advantage of the Ostrich Farm’s outdoor setting, offering a festival experience that fits naturally into the city’s summer atmosphere. Johannesburg, meanwhile, is expected to bring a more energetic urban feel when the event takes over The Canvas.

Fans can expect more than music, with both events set to feature DJs, food vendors, lifestyle activations and premium hospitality options. Gates are scheduled to open during the early afternoon, with performances continuing into the night.

Tickets and VIP packages will be sold exclusively through PLAYY, while fans can register for priority access and updates ahead of the ticket release. Further announcements around the complete line-up and hospitality offerings are expected in the coming weeks.

With French Montana sharing the bill with Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Blxckie and other leading names from the local scene, AFROTRAX is positioning its debut as a major meeting point between African talent and global hip-hop culture.

For South African hip-hop fans, December could bring one of the year’s most anticipated international showcases, with French Montana’s worldwide catalogue set to collide with the sound and energy of Mzansi under the AFROTRAX banner.
