CultureCon Guide: How To Navigate The Ultimate Creative Homecoming
Get into this CultureCon guide that breaks down what to expect, the lineup and how to pace yourself for a weekend of networking, celebrating and slaying.

CultureCon is far more than a festival—it is the ultimate creative homecoming. Born from a dream in founder Imani Ellis’s Harlem apartment, this vibrant movement stands at the intersection of creativity and community to empower Black creators, entrepreneurs, and cultural forces. Returning to Brooklyn’s Duggal Greenhouse on October 3–4, 2026, this year’s experience transforms into a “Museum of Us.” Think a living archive celebrating the visionary people shaping culture today in real time.
Imagine stepping onto a festival floor that feels like a world-class gallery, surrounded by over 12,000 attendees, industry leaders, and iconic voices across art, entertainment, business, and tech. CultureCon 2026 packs two days with game-changing programming, including hand-on workshops and curated art showcases in partnership with Black Girl Art Show and Black Boy Art Show. There will also be the first-ever CultureCon bookstore with Literature & Libations. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your business acumen or elevate your network, it is an unprecedented space designed to equip you with tangible tools for long-term success. When I say it keeps getting better and better, I mean it.
Get into the lineup that includes everyone from Michael B. Jordan making his CultureCon debut to Mayor Zohran Mamdani chatting up what he has in store for NY creatives. Don’t forget some of our faves like Aaron Pierre, John Legend, Mahershala Ali, Colin Kaepernick, Niecy Nash-Betts, Daniel Kaluuya, Olandria Carthen, Sherri Shepherd, Danessa Myricks, Rajah Caruth, Scott Evans, and Miles Caton.
To help you navigate the weekend like a seasoned insider and maximize every single moment, here is your definitive guide to experiencing CultureCon 2026:
Tip #1: Secure Sponsorship or Map Out Your Ticket Strategy.
CultureCon is a premier professional development investment. Since employers often invest in professional growth, take advantage of the official template provided by the CultureCon team to convince your boss to sponsor your ticket. If you are purchasing tickets yourself, take advantage of student passes ($109) or general admission ($239). For expedited entry and access to the 21+ VIP Lounge for intimate networking with top industry leaders, choose VIP passes ($649).
Tip #2: Dress as the Art — Lean Into the “Museum of Us” Style.
CultureCon is legendary for its bold, expressive fashion, and this year’s theme reminds us that you are the art. Serve your best head-to-toe “fit” and lean into the spirit of self-expression. To make sure your hair matches your style, lock in a slot at Dosso Beauty’s on-site Braid Bar for non-toxic braid styling and trichology scoping sessions. Please know you will likely be captured in some type of footage by the end of the weekend. Indeed, this happens if you rise to the occasion in the style department.
Tip #3: Network Intentionally with Peers and Industry Leaders.
Networking at CultureCon is transformative. Make sure to schedule a Braindate—peer-to-peer breakout sessions hosted by community leaders. This new activation was created to foster real conversations and build long-lasting connections. Don’t forget to visit the Career Lounge for recruiting and professional mentorship. Also, check out the Small Business Marketplace presented by Chase Ink to support and connect with independent creative entrepreneurs.
Tip #4: Level Up at the Creative Business School & Stage.
If you’re serious about the business of creativity, the newly introduced Creative Business School and Creative Business Stage are must-attend additions. These dedicated spaces offer practical conversations and toolkit-sharpening sessions led by experts on client pitching and contract structuring. In addition, there will be sessions on deal positioning and brand building. The things we should be talking about.
Tip #5: Download the App & Customize Your Schedule.
Navigating CultureCon’s expanded campus requires a game plan. Use the official CultureCon App to view venue maps and build custom CultureCon Tracks tailored to your goals. You can also explore speaker bios and stay updated on real-time schedule announcements throughout the weekend. The app makes it easy to keep up with the start times so keep those notifications on.
Tip #6: Immerse Yourself in CultureCon Week & Surrounding Events.
Did you know the experience extends beyond the weekend? CultureCon Week runs from September 28 through October 2 across NYC, offering five days of exclusive dinners, film screenings, brand activations, and community gatherings. Map out your week early to fully immerse yourself in the culture before main festival doors open.
Tip #7: Pace Yourself, Hydrate, and Prioritize Rest.
With two non-stop days of panels, activations in Activation Alley, and star-studded conversations, staying energized is key. Get plenty of sleep, hydrate, and take intentional breaks between sessions. In this way, you can absorb every piece of wisdom and walk away with total clarity for your next move.
Now that you have our tips, go and slay this year’s Museum of Us!
