Anjola Adesodun, popularly known as Favorite Coco, has emerged the winner of the Omidan Ogun 2026 Beauty Pageant, ahead of two other finalists who clinched the first and second runner-up positions at the event held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The grand finale, which took place at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, saw Queen Orepitan Ayomide emerge as the first runner-up, while Ayodele Temiloluwa secured the second runner-up position.
The event attracted parents, government officials, guests, supporters and other stakeholders who gathered to celebrate beauty, culture, creativity and the empowerment of young women.
Adesodun, a Nigerian creative, model and entrepreneur, has developed a passion for storytelling, self-expression and inspiring others from an early age.
Her creative journey began at the age of nine when she started exploring crochet, a passion she later transformed into her own brand, Crochet by Coco.
She has since expanded her interests into content creation, modelling and pageantry, earning recognition as Omidan Ogun 2026 and Top Model.
Beyond her achievements in the creative industry, the new queen is passionate about youth empowerment and helping people discover their potential.
Through her growing platform, creative ventures and advocacy, she hopes to inspire confidence, create opportunities and make meaningful contributions to society.
The emergence of Adesodun as the new queen aligns with the vision of the Omidan Ogun Beauty Pageant, which seeks to go beyond conventional beauty competitions by promoting cultural heritage, leadership development and socio-economic empowerment among young women.
The convener of the pageant, Miss Onanuga Damilola Owoyemi, had earlier described the initiative, organised under Royal Regale, as a platform for celebrating the history, character, intelligence and cultural pride of the people of Ogun State.
According to Onanuga, the initiative is designed to inspire young women to become responsible leaders, cultural ambassadors and agents of positive change in their communities.
She explained that the platform would provide opportunities for mentorship, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship training, leadership development, community service and advocacy programmes aimed at improving the lives of young women and the girl child.
“Our goal is to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Ogun State, empower our youths, and project the positive image of the state to the global community. This platform goes beyond fashion and beauty; it is about building confident young women who will make meaningful contributions to society,” she said.
Onanuga also outlined plans to promote Ogun State’s cultural heritage across its 20 local government areas, strengthen cultural exchange, encourage diaspora engagement and position the state as a leading destination for cultural tourism.
She added that the pageant would showcase the state’s traditions, tourism potential, indigenous fashion, arts, language and cultural values, while creating opportunities in tourism, entertainment, fashion and youth development.
Following the successful conclusion of the 2026 edition, the convener expressed appreciation to the sponsors, financial supporters, guests and other stakeholders whose contributions helped make the event possible.
In her appreciation message, Onanuga thanked the sponsors and supporters for believing in the vision of the initiative and providing the financial and moral support needed to bring the event to fruition.
She prayed for God’s continued blessings and abundant rewards for their generosity, while acknowledging their roles in the success of the pageant.

The organisers expressed optimism that Omidan Ogun would continue to grow as a platform for cultural preservation, youth empowerment and the promotion of Ogun State’s image locally and internationally.
