The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is exploring digital solutions to modernise public services following a meeting between Digital Economy Minister Augustin Kibassa Maliba and representatives of Kenyan fintech company Pesaflow.
The delegation, led by Pesaflow Director Jovis Omondji Okoth, met with the minister to discuss potential technology solutions for the digitisation of government services.
Discussions focused on the use of digital platforms to improve public administration, including the development of digital business registries that could help modernise how company-related records and services are managed.
The engagement forms part of the DRC government’s broader efforts to accelerate digital transformation and improve the delivery of public services through technology.
The meeting also highlights growing technology cooperation between the DRC and Kenya, as African governments increasingly turn to fintech and digital platforms to modernise administrative systems and improve accessibility for businesses and citizens.
