Ten singles. Seven Caribbean destinations. One island setting. And enough different accents, personalities and ideas about love to make things very interesting.
The Caribbean has a new dating show—and this time, we get to see ourselves.
Love Link Caribbean, billed as the region’s first inter-regional reality dating series, brings together ten singles from Anguilla, The Bahamas, Dominica, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Antigua and Barbuda to see whether love can cross island lines.
Created by Antigua-based Love Link TV in partnership with the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA), the ten-episode series unfolds in Antigua, with stops at Ffryes Beach, Laviscount Island and Dow’s Hill bringing plenty of island beauty into the mix.
But for us, the real attraction may be seeing what happens when Caribbean people date Caribbean people—from somewhere else in the Caribbean.
Because let’s be serious: we may share a sea, but we don’t necessarily share the same ideas about dating.
Different islands come with different accents, expressions, expectations, flirting styles and cultural nuances. Put all of that together in one dating show and there should be plenty for Caribbean viewers to discuss.
Finally, Caribbean Love in Our Own Voice
One of the things we love most about the concept is that Caribbean culture isn’t being added as decoration.
It is the show.
According to the producers, approximately 99 percent of the production crew is Caribbean, while the personalities, dialects, humour, food and cultural references on screen reflect the region the show was created to represent.
“This show is about more than finding love,”
said Jamila Watkins, Founder and Executive Producer of Love Link TV.
“It lets Caribbean audiences see our personalities and our cultures on screen in a way that feels unmistakably ours.”
And that matters.
We consume plenty of reality television from around the world. There is something refreshing about getting to watch a familiar format where the voices, jokes, personalities and cultural references actually sound and feel like home.

Antigua Is Part of the Love Story
Of course, every good Caribbean romance needs a setting.
For Love Link Caribbean, Antigua isn’t simply providing the pretty beach shots. The destination is woven into the dates and experiences, giving viewers another way to discover the island.
“Viewers don’t just see Antigua and Barbuda in the background. They experience it as part of the story,”
said Shermain Jeremy, Director of Tourism, Caribbean and Latin America at ABTA.
It’s also an interesting example of where Caribbean tourism and our growing creative economy can meet. Instead of simply advertising a destination, we can tell stories there—produced by Caribbean creatives, featuring Caribbean talent and showcasing our islands to regional and global audiences.
More of that, please.
Now, POSH Family… We Need to Talk
Whether anybody actually finds lasting love remains to be seen.
But we already know we’re going to have questions.
Which island has the best dating game?
Do Caribbean men and women approach relationships differently depending on where they’re from?
Can an Antigua-Trinidad connection survive the distance?
What about Jamaica and the Virgin Islands?
And are we about to discover that some of our Caribbean dating stereotypes are actually true—or completely wrong?
This is where we want to hear from you.
Watch with us and come back to the Caribbean POSH community with your thoughts. Tell us who you’re rooting for, whose personality caught your attention, which moments had you talking back to the screen—and whether you think Love Link Caribbean gets Caribbean dating and relationships right.
Because watching is one thing.
Talking about it together? That’s where it gets POSH.
