One man is dead following a shooting in Pierrot, Vieux Fort.
Authorities say that on Friday, November 21, around 6:30 a.m., officers from the Criminal Investigations Department at the Vieux Fort Police Station responded to a call about an unconscious man found on the ground.
Emergency personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service attended to the victim, who was transported by ambulance to St. Jude Hospital. He was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
The deceased has been identified as 55‑year‑old Paul Campsell of Pierrot, Vieux Fort.
Police confirmed that one individual is currently in custody, assisting with the investigation.
