Lisbon (MOZTIMES) - The Mozambican Government insisted on Tuesday that the Portuguese oil company Galp must pay the taxes claimed by the State from the sale of its stake in Area 4 of the Rovuma Basin, after GALP moved forward with international arbitration against Mozambique.
“What the government has said is that the tax has to be paid”, declared the government spokesperson and Minister of State Administration, Inocencio Impissa. “It is a right of Mozambicans. It is a national resource and it must be paid,”
