MTC opens mobile home in Kuisebmond

MTC has opened a new MobileHome in Kuisebmond, bringing telecommunications services closer to residents in the growing community.

The outlet is MTC’s third in Walvis Bay and the fifth in the region, with two other outlets in Swakopmund.

MTC spokesperson John Ekongo said the expansion was driven by the growth of Kuisebmond and increasing demand for accessible telecommunications services.

“Walvis Bay continues to grow, and with that growth comes the need for reliable, accessible and convenient customer service points,” Ekongo said.

He said customers would be able to access MTC’s full range of services, including SIM registration and replacement, account services, prepaid and postpaid solutions, mobile data services, device purchases and MTC Maris digital financial services.

“If you are from Kuisebmond, you will not need to travel to town anymore,” Ekongo said.

He said MTC’s expansion decisions were informed by community needs and population data.

The Kuisebmond mobile home is its 42nd outlet nationally. The company is also considering new outlets in Omaruru, Otjinene and Outjo during the 2027 financial year.
