South African IDC Considers Buying Mozal

Maputo (MOZTIMES) – The South African Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is considering buying the Mozal aluminium smelter on the outskirts of Maputo.

According to a report in the independent newssheet “Carta de Mocambique”, the IDC is looking into ways of reviving Mozal, which has been paralysed since the end of March.
