By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belize can expect a mostly sunny and hot start to the weekend.
According to the National Meteorological Service, a light and relatively moist airflow is in place. Today will be sunny with a few cloudy spells.
Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated.
It will be a hot one. Coastal areas will reach 89°F (32°C) with a low of 78°F (26°C). Inland areas will climb to 95°F (35°C) before cooling to 74°F (23°C) overnight. The hills will see a high of 82°F (28°C) and a low of 68°F (20°C).
At sea, winds are from the east to southeast at 5 to 10 knots. Seas are slight, with waves of 1 to 3 feet.
The fair weather is good news for anyone heading out to weekend events, including the El Cayo Festival.
