What’s on at New York Comic Con 2025

The worlds of comic books, toys, and TV will collide this weekend as New York Comic Con returns to Manhattan Oct. 9-12. There aren’t many places on earth you can find Spiderman, Morpheus, and Blues from Blues’ Clues hanging out in the same room but at NYCC you just might catch an unlikely group like this mingling and posing for pictures among the thousands of fans that flock to the Javits Center every year for this fan-focused event that has found a home in the city since 2006. This year, NYCC will host a slew of icons and up-and-coming creators, showcase exclusive merch and new releases across media, and provide community resources through a diverse array of panels and workshops all weekend long.

Fantasy author Tomi Adeyemi and comedian Wayne Brady will appear at NYCC on Friday and Saturday, signing autographs and also participating in their own panel discussions. Brady will perform an improv set in North Room 408 at 3:45 on Oct. 10, and Adeyemi will be in conversation with Tamara Fuentes in room 1B02 on Oct 11. Stars Laurence Fishburne (“Apocalypse Now,” “Matrix”) and Ernie Hudson (“Ghostbusters”) will appear on Saturday and Sunday alongside of slew of guests that include Sigourney Weaver (“Alien”), Brendan Fraser (“Airheads”), and Elliot Page (“Juno”), signing autographs in the Autograph Hall. Fishburne will also take place in a Matrix reunion panel alongside fellow cast member Joe Pantoliano on Sunday on the North Level Empire Stage.

Other standout panels and resources include Cafecito, a panel on superheroes from different counties, a discussion on touring the hit show Hamilton, an inclusive resource table, and a discussion on incorporating diversity and accessibility into costumes and content creating. If you aren’t into panels, there are hundreds of vendors, artists, and creatives to shop from in the Exhibitor Hall and Artist Alley where you can see rows of cosplayers and fans shopping exclusives and previewing the latest releases in toys, comics, film and more.
To attend NYCC you need to be fan verified, then you can score tickets on their website. For a full list of panels and guests, visit newyorkcomiccon.com, and also find some great resources like a fan guide for first-time attendees.
