The Ministry of Health has announced adjusted operating hours for primary healthcare facilities across Saint Lucia during the Christmas and New Year holiday period, urging the public to plan ahead for routine services and prescription refills.
According to the Ministry, all Community Wellness Centres will be closed on December 25 and 26, as well as January 1 and 2, in observance of Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and the New Year’s holiday.
However, urgent and emergency medical services will remain available at four key facilities:
• Betty Wells Urban Polyclinic
• Gros Islet Polyclinic
• Dennery Hospital
• Soufrière Hospital
The ministry notes that while Soufrière Hospital will operate 24 hours, the Gros Islet Polyclinic, Betty Wells Urban Polyclinic and Dennery Hospital will remain open daily until midnight throughout the festive season.
