By Zoila Palma:  Commissioner of Police Dr. A. Richard Rosado is urging Belizeans to celebrate Battle of St. George’s Caye Day responsibly, peacefully and safely as the country commemorates the historic occasion on September 10.

Commissioner Rosado extended warm wishes to Belizeans and reflected on the significance of the holiday, saying, “This historic occasion reminds us of the courage, resilience, and unity that have shaped our nation’s identity.”

He encouraged citizens to honor the sacrifices of those who came before them by respecting one another and embracing the spirit of patriotism.

The Commissioner also called on the public to work together with law enforcement to maintain safety throughout the celebrations.

“On behalf of the Belize Police Department, I encourage everyone to enjoy the festivities safely and to work together to keep our communities secure throughout the celebrations,” Rosado said.

As celebrations take place across the country, the Belize Police Department is encouraging the public to exercise caution, respect others and celebrate responsibly.
