FUFA has on Monday issued sanctions to five people after finding them guilty of engagement in match fixing. Key among those is former player Ali Moses Feni.
According to the statement released by FUFA, Feni who formerly played for SC Villa, URA, Proline, Wakiso Giants and Kyetume has been banned from any football-related activity for life.
“Ali Feni, former player – Banned for life from all football-related activities after being found to have coordinated match-fixing in several matches, including Lugazi FC vs Buhimba United Saints FC, by acting as an intermediary between players and match-fixers.” Reads part of the statement.
The other people that have been banned include Fred Nkata, Moses Ayebale and Ramadhan Dudu (all players at Buhimba United Saints) plus the club technical director James Kalumba.
Nkata, Ayebale and Kalumba will serve five-year bans each while Dudu has been slapped with a two-year ban.
The said game in which match-fixing was noted took place on 8th November 2025 with Lugazi winning 5-2.
