Jub Jub: ‘God Comes First’ Amid Court Appearance Over Serious Charges. Media personality and musician Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday in connection with an alleged incident involving an e-hailing driver in Edenvale, Johannesburg.

Maarohanye is facing charges that include kidnapping, the unlawful discharge of a firearm and defeating the ends of justice. The matter remains before the court, and the allegations have not been proven.

Speaking briefly outside court, Jub Jub expressed surprise at the accusations levelled against him.

“I’m surprised by the allegations that have come by the seniors, saying that I kidnapped my girlfriend, and moved her driver, and yada, yada, yada, yada, I don’t know, man. As for me, I’m just complying and appearing and doing what it is. In all cases, anything related to me, it’s always God’s first anyway, because I got in the room, it’s always God’s up. Anybody, I’m trying to put things together, maybe, you know, formulate something of some piece or whatever, and you know, it is what it is, and that’s it.”

The television personality said he is cooperating with the legal process and placing his faith in God as the case unfolds. He did not provide further details about the allegations or the events that led to his court appearance.

The proceedings are expected to continue as the court considers the charges against him. As with all criminal matters, Jub Jub is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
