Maroons extend good run at home against BUL

Maroons ensured they extended their purple patch against BUL at home, edging the Eastern Giants on Wednesday in Luzira.

The Prison Warders edged the closely contested game 1-0 courtesy of Ivan Mayanja’s solitary goal.

The Jinja based side have not managed to pick three points from Luzira against Maroons since 2018 when they won 2-1.

In today’s game, Mayanja’s goal arrived in the 22nd minute when a poor clearance by BUL gifted the forward with the opportunity to fire home.

The win lifts Maroons up to ninth position on 29 points, just one behind BUL.

Maroons will return to action on 17th April with a short trio to Lugogo to face NEC FC while BUL will be away to URA at Hamz Stadium a day before.
