Maputo (MOZTIMES) - The Mozambican government has approved sweeping amendments to the country’s Highway Code that will introduce a points-based driving license system and the installation of road surveillance cameras, as part of efforts to modernize traffic management and reduce road accidents.
The decision was taken during a meeting on Tuesday of the Council of Ministers. The reforms were described as a significant shift in the country’s approach to road safety enforcement.
