National Drug Take Back Day on April 25

Alderman Lamont Westmoreland is inviting residents to partake in the National Drug Take Back Day at Trinity Woods, 9524 W. Burleigh St. this weekend Saturday, April 25th.  Trinity Woods is one of five collection sites across multiple Milwaukee Police districts participating in the citywide program (please see the attached flyer).

The program allows the disposal of unused or expired medications or syringes to protect the health and safety of our neighborhoods. Participants can drop off on Saturday between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and there will drive up and drop off resources with no questions asked.

Alderman Westmoreland strongly encourages anyone who can participate in the drive to take advantage of the quick, easy, and anonymous opportunity. “If you need to get rid of old or unused prescription medications, please drop them off Saturday during the drug take back event so they can be safely disposed of,” he said.

For more information about the program sponsored by Safe and Sound through their partnership with the Milwaukee Police Department, call (414) 220-4780
