By Zoila Palma: Prime Minister John Briceño received a courtesy call on Monday, September 7, from André Bauer, the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Belize.
Ambassador Bauer arrived in Belize on Friday, September 4, to begin his diplomatic assignment. He previously served as lieutenant governor of South Carolina.
The Prime Minister said discussions included areas of mutual concern and benefit between Belize and the United States.
The Prime Minister also shared with Ambassador Bauer some of Belize’s natural and cultural highlights, encouraging him to experience the country as he becomes familiar with Belize and its people.
