Defending champions Vipers SC underlined their authority at the top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with a commanding 3–0 victory over Entebbe UPPC to open a seven-point lead on Sunday.

After a controlled but goalless first half under St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende floodlights, Vipers turned on the style after the break. Junior Yunus Sentamu broke the deadlock, rising well to head home from a Karim Watambala corner shortly after restart.

The winger doubled the advantage in the 76th minute, finishing smartly after a clever assist from Enock Ssebagala in a move that showcased the hosts’ attacking fluidity.

Moments later, substitute Gusto Mulungo marked his introduction in style, heading in Enock Luyima’s cross to seal an emphatic win and cap a ruthless spell.

The result lifts Vipers to 58 points from 25 matches, extending their advantage over second-placed SC Villa, with Kitara and KCCA also on 51 points but now firmly chasing.
