America Is Now A Lawless Anti-Humanitarian Rogue Nation
By Robert Kimball Shinkosky Photos: Wikimedia Commons America, once the proud leader of global humanity, has now become an anti-humanitarian, rogue, outlaw nation, running roughshod over its own values, people, and institutions and, indeed, the rest of the world. Here are just a few of the main indicators that put America in a position to challenge China and Russia for the title of the most threatening nation on the planet. First off, Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Iran. America kicks back getting a pedicure while turning a cold shoulder to the humanitarian suffering in these places, and truth be told, other places like Sudan and the South American countries leaking millions out of their borders hoping to find a place in once “Beautiful” America. America simply does not care whatever its great “friend” Israel, and its brutal far-right dictator Netanyahu, and its own Oval Office leader do to Muslim civilians in the Middle East. In other words, America could care less about the welfare of children not playing in their own backyard. Secondly, tariff imperialism over the puffed-up issue of trade imbalance. Trade imbalance is simply a pretext for terrorizing the earth and its people in order to feather the nests of the 1% class in America. Next, MAWA, Trump’s real program—Make America White Again. Trump’s deportation policy is simply an excuse to prevent dark-skinned folks from gaining the population ascendancy in America. Allowing a whole lot of non-white people to have money and personal freedoms is simply intolerable in MAGA’s view. Also, America’s own national ruling party has a not-so-secret goal of destroying law and reducing the federal government back to the treasury, defense, and post office departments it was limited to in the beginning. The rest of the current government be damned. The fact that tens of thousands are dying in Africa because we ended USAID is no problem. Those folks have Black skin. As a substitute for humanitarian republican government, the MAGA party wants to turn over sovereign federal government power to the 1% aristocratic class of private sector billionaires and centi-millionaires whose representatives will then meet occasionally in D.C. and decide the policies needed to oppress the other 99% of the population. This is the way Europe governed itself in medieval times. Those days were called the Dark Ages for a reason. America’s once-vaunted First Amendment media industry has a turncoat mentality by which they want to end the constitutional bill of rights for all by limiting minority views and reserving the highest form of freedom of speech for the ultra-rich and the ultra-Trump party. Once trustworthy newspapers like the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and CBS News are leading the censorship charge and hundreds of others are following meekly along. America is also seeing the erosion of major institutions of civil society like universities, courtrooms, law firms, charitable organizations, international aid agencies, libraries, museums, legislatures, newspapers, and independent federal agencies. These agencies get in the way of the super wealthy, who don’t want to have to deal with their bleeding-heart mentalities. The failure and retreat of the mainstream Jewish, Christian, and Muslim churches of America assures that morality, ethics, social kindness, equality, economic mobility, written law, and political compromise will all end in America forevermore as these three Abrahamic religions just chant the names of their founders and bury their heads in the sand. Business institutions like sports, music, banking, and advertising have become so corrupt as to be fully dedicated to promoting entertainment, more spending and debt, and excessive interest rates while the progress of the past 250 years gets erased right before our eyes. Robert Kimball Shinkosky is an award winning citizen editorial writer for Utah, west coast, and national newspapers. As a long time state government worker and student of the American presidency, he speaks out boldly about the need for citizen participation, a renewed democracy, and constitutional limits on absolute power. Kimball’s most recent book is a scholarly interpretation of the scope of the Ten Commandments, showing how those laws applied to government as well as citizens in ancient Israel.
