'ATTACK on TITAN: The Musical' to make Singapore debut in April 2027
The fight for humanity is coming to the Singapore stage. ATTACK on TITAN: The Musical will run at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, from 15 April to 2 May 2027, marking the original Japanese production’s first Asian engagement outside Japan. Presented by Base Entertainment Asia, the Singapore season follows performances in Japan and New York. The musical will be performed in Japanese with English surtitles. Based on Hajime Isayama’s manga, the production follows Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackermann, and Armin Arlert as their lives are upended by the Titans’ breach of the Walls protecting their home. The stage adaptation covers the story’s opening chapters through the Battle of Trost, with parts condensed and rearranged for the theatre. Live vocals, choreography, action sequences, and stage technology bring the characters and their battles into the theatre. The production is directed by Go Ueki, with a book by Masafumi Hata, music supervision by KEN THE 390, and lyrics by Kaori Miura. It draws on Japan’s “2.5-dimensional” musical tradition, which translates the illustrated worlds of manga and anime into live performance through costumes, movement, and visual effects. The musical premiered in Osaka and Tokyo in January 2023 before making its international debut at New York City Center in October 2024. Singapore audiences will now have the chance to experience the original Japanese production closer to home. Tickets start from S$58, excluding booking fees, with dynamic pricing applying.
