In reply to Alex Bolton. I’m the journalist who writes and edits the newsfromcrystalpalace.wordpress.com website. My background is mainly local newspapers. I have sat in many council chambers in south and west London watching proceedings of full meetings of councils. The atmosphere in all of them was one of a slightly clubby, slightly chummy place. Except the chamber at Lambeth where the atmosphere has always been dark. I hope that with the new intake that changes. Local journalists call it how they see it. Lambeth council has been the worst council I have ever covered. Reporter’s dream, residents nightmare. I am approaching the next Lambeth council meeting with an open mind. If the Green group need calling out, they will be. The criticism will be constructive, as it always is and always has been. As for the Brixton Buzz article it’s an excellent piece of journalism. It’s called free speech. It’s called democracy.
