By Zoila Palma: The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) is strengthening Belize’s presence in the Colombian travel market through its 2026 Colombia Roadshow, held from August 11 to 13 across Bogotá, Barranquilla and Medellín.
The initiative brought Belizean tourism stakeholders directly to travel professionals and media in key Colombian cities.
The roadshow connected Belize with 250 Colombian travel professionals, including travel agents, wholesaler representatives and travel media. The engagements provided wholesalers with opportunities to explore Belize vacation packages, while travel agents gained destination knowledge to better promote Belize to Colombian travelers.
A destination forum in Bogotá also featured the BTB, Belize Hotel Association, Copa Airlines and Colombian travel writer Juan Uribe, who recently visited Belize, along with travel influencer Juan Tratamundo, who shared his experiences of the destination.
The BTB said building a strong tourism market requires visibility, accessibility, education and trusted relationships.
