Blacks Power face tough first away test against Maroons at Wankulukuku

Newly promoted Blacks Power make their first trip outside of their home when they visit Maroons at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday.

The Lira based side have picked two wins in as two matches since their return to the premier league and are yet to concede a goal so far winning 1-0 at Hoima City stadium against Kigezi Home Boyz and Police.

Against Maroons, who bounced back from match day one defeat to URA (2-1) by winning 3-1 at Ntugasaze.

“Our first away game against a very consistent opponent in Maroons will be a tough one,” Blacks Power head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa said.

“It gives us an opportunity to test ourselves against the best because they performed better last season finishing in the top eight,” he added.

“Regardless, we want to perform better and get the three points against a very good opponent.”

Bashir Asiku and captain Rashid Yakini will be key for the visitors who face a daunting task to stop Jackson Nunda, Darius Ojok and Marvin Oshaba.

In other matches on Tuesday, BUL host Ntugasaze at Njeru while KCCA are away to Kigezi HomeBoyz at Rwamwanja stadium, Kamwenge.
