Britam Uganda and Airtel Money Partner to Expand Mobile Insurance Access

Britam Uganda  and Airtel Money Uganda  have launched a strategic partnership to expand access to insurance, investment, and other inclusive financial services through mobile channels, making regulated financial solutions more accessible to Ugandans.

The collaboration, unveiled under the Insurance Ku Ssimu campaign, is designed to reduce barriers to financial protection by simplifying access to insurance and investment products. The initiative leverages Airtel Money’s nationwide digital platform and agent network alongside Britam Uganda’s expertise in insurance and asset management to deliver convenient, mobile-first financial solutions while maintaining regulatory compliance and customer protection.

As the first product under the partnership, customers can now purchase Motor Third Party Insurance directly through Airtel Money by dialing *185*7*6*1#, entering their vehicle details, and completing payment securely using their Airtel Money PIN. Customers receive an SMS confirmation and can access their digital insurance sticker online, eliminating the need for lengthy paperwork or physical visits.

Britam Uganda said the partnership reflects its commitment to increasing financial inclusion by making insurance and investment services more affordable, accessible, and convenient for customers across the country through digital technology.
