Brixton’s Day of Culture, Community, and Life-Saving Impact

Brixton’s Day of Culture, Community, and Life-Saving Impact

NHS Blood and Transplant are excited to host a special cultural event taking place in Brixton on the 26th January.

For The Love: Celebrating Culture, Community, and Life-Saving Blood Donation, is a vibrant celebration of Black culture featuring music by Cultur.FM, food courtesy of Black Easts LDN, art from Art Meets Culture and Akanji Studiosand inspiring guest speakers.

The event, which is free to enter, will highlight the importance of blood donation and raise awareness of Sickle Cell—a blood disorder that disproportionately affects people of African and Caribbean heritage.

For The Love also marks the opening of a new Brixton Blood Donor Centre – an important milestone in the drive to improve health outcomes in our community.

We would love for you to join us and help promote this important and inspiring event with your family and friends . The goal is to register 200 new Black heritage blood donors to help those living with Sickle Cell. If you can help spread the word of the event this would be greatly appreciated.

Date: Sunday 26th January
Location: Brixton House, SW9 8GL
