The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, is making an official visit to Dakar on Tuesday.
This visit is part of an effort to strengthen ties between the continental governing body and Senegal, a major player in African soccer.
The South African leader will be received in audience by the Head of State, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
The high-level meeting will focus on tensions linked to the 2025 AFCON final, the CAF Appeals Committee’s ruling, infrastructure development, and Senegal’s growing influence in advancing football across the region.
Finally, Patrice Motsepe will meet with Abdoulaye Fall, president of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF).
Discussions will focus on future technical projects and upcoming competitions, thereby strengthening collaboration between CAF and national authorities.
