CAF sets infrastructural delivery timelines for 2027 AFCON hosts

CAF has for the last two days held a workshop with host nations of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations in Kampala, Uganda aimed at streamlining processes ahead of the coveted tournament.

The CAF inspection report of February highlighted several gaps from the hosts and thus the need to come up with a detailed workplan on how some of the items will be delivered was important.

With Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda racing against time to put in place the required infrastrucuture in place, CAF thought it wise to engage the hosts and draw a delivery plan for the remaining period.

Samson Adamu, the acting CAF General Secretary stated that the workshop was aimed at checking on the progress of the preparations for the three host nations.

“The two day working visit in Kampala, Uganda was to dig down on the preparations from AFCON PAMOJA 2027 host countries; Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. It was to set priorities with timeliness and perfect executions with the remaining months” Adamu remarked.

From the workshop, CAF issued a detailed workplan that will be followed in as far as infrastructure delivery is concerned.
