The FIFA World Cup 2026 reached 1,000,000 million fans during the Iran vs New Zealand game in Los Angeles, USA.
Aaron Bren from Los Angeles received recognition from the FIFA President Gianni Infantino for this incredible achievement that happened in the 16th match of what is expected to be the biggest edition in history.
Infantino wrote on his instagram; “Wow! 1 million fans in stadiums! Congratulations to Aaron Bren, who was the 1 millionth fan at this FIFA World Cup and a huge thank you to all our passionate supporters who continue to fill the stadiums – you have brought the most inclusive FIFA World Cup to life.” He said.
The 48-team World Cup hosted across three countries for the first time – Canada, Mexico and the USA will have 104 matches. There is an average of 63,000 fans per game so far.
