Gambian Goalkeeper Ebrima ‘E Boy’ Jaiteh Makes Mark in Mozambique

Gambian goalkeeper Ebrima Jaiteh, popularly known as “E Boy,” is continuing his rise in African football after establishing himself as a key player for Mozambican champions UD Songo.

The towering goalkeeper has built a reputation as a dependable last line of defence, combining good positioning and communication with strong shot-stopping ability and a commanding presence in the penalty area.

Jaiteh played an important role in UD Songo’s Mozambican league title-winning campaign, which earned him recognition as the second-best goalkeeper in the league last season.

His performances have now taken him to the CAF Champions League, providing him with an opportunity to compete at one of the highest levels of African club football.

Jaiteh’s journey began on the football pitches of Wellingara in The Gambia before taking him to the Mozambican top flight and, subsequently, the continental stage.

His progress reflects a steady development in his goalkeeping career as he continues to compete against some of Africa’s leading clubs and players.

The Gambian goalkeeper will now look to build on his experience in Mozambique as UD Songo competes in continental football.
