HIGHLANDERS coach Benjani Mwaruwari says his side needs to go back to the drawing board following a 1-0 defeat to Scottland FC in the Independence Cup final played Saturday at Maphisa Stadium in Matebeleland South.
Bosso succumbed to a second-half goal by Scottland star Knowledge Musona, who fired in a long-range effort to earn his side the precious result.
Saturday’s defeat piled more pressure on the Bulawayo giants, who are yet to register a win in the league after seven rounds of action.
For Mwaruwari, there is a need for his side to recalibrate and focus as they shift their attention back to the league this Wednesday when they face Chicken Inn.
“We did well, but we made a mistake, and they capitalised on that. We need to regroup and try to win on Wednesday back in the league.
“This game is now done, and we push forward as a team,” said Mwaruwari.
Highlanders is one of the five teams yet to win a league match this season in the ongoing campaign, the other four being Hunters, Manica Diamonds, Tel One, and Agama FC.
