West Indian umpire Jacqueline Wiliams has been named to stand in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Lord’s on Sunday.
Williams who is from Jamaica and Vrinda Rathi of India have been appointed as on-field umpires, as hosts England take on old rivals Australia, the ICC announced this morning.
Williams, who is among the leading umpires in the global sport, is officiating at her fifth Women’s T20 World Cup and was in the middle for the opening fixture on 12 June, when England beat Sri Lanka at Edgbaston.
She also presided over England’s 40-run semi-final win over South Africa, as well as Australia’s crucial six-wicket victory against India in Group A.
Sunday will mark her second ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final as an on-field umpire, after also officiating in Australia’s 19-run win against South Africa in 2023.
