East St. Louis basketball standout Jamison White has committed to Saint Louis University.
The 6’9 senior forward made his official announcement on his Instagram account on Saturday afternoon. He is the son of former Cardinal Ritter star and NBA player Jahidi White.
White had originally signed with Penn State in November, but he recently re-opened his recruitment.
As a senior, White led East St Louis to the Illinois Class 3A state championship. He averaged 19 points and 13 rebounds a game while shooting 37 percent from 3-point range.
In the state championship game against Deerfield, White had 19 points, 18 rebounds, five assists, two steals and five blocks in the Flyers’ 52-46 victory.
During the summer, White was a standout player on Brad Beal Elite’s 17U team that won the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Peach Jam.
