Vice President JD Vance is once again stirring up trouble online after a recent interview took a racist turn. Although he is no strange to controversy, given his history of falsely accusing Haitian migrants of eating people’s pets, his recent comments are making folks double take, especially given his own family household.

During a recent interview with Pod Force One, Vance described a scenario where a migrant family moved into an apartment building with twenty people to a single unit. “We can respect their dignity while also being angry at the Biden administration for letting that situation happen,” Vance said, blaming former President Joe Biden for the current immigration crisis in the country.

“I don’t know these people. They don’t speak the same language that I do,” he added. Expectedly, Vance was immediately met with public backlash from many who deemed his remarks straight up racist.

@SirTreyDay simply said on X, “This is racist AF…”

@AGirlNameFred tweeted, “White people always think people want to talk to them.”

Vance and President Donald Trump ran most of their campaign on demonizing “criminal” migrants who come to America and take citizens’ jobs and benefits. “Trump/Vance is the racist housing policy, redlining, blockbusting administration,” @realkellye wrote online. Many people like @travbryanmusic called the vice president out for “pandering” to white supremacists.

“This man is married to an Indian woman and has mixed-race kids; yet he panders to white supremacists for applause,” @allenanalysis wrote on X. “If he won’t defend his own family, he’ll sell out anyone. MAGA included.”

Vance’s wife, Usha Vance, became the first Hindu-American second lady this year. Together, they have three children, who are mixed race– Indian and white American.

@Yewande92 said, “Imagine being half Indian and seeing your father pander to white supremacists.” Other folks criticized Vance’s wife for sticking by his side. “His wife a sellout too, she should leave his ass,” @shooterGtak25 wrote.

“He’s already sold MAGA out before. But because it didn’t happen yesterday, no one remembers it,” @charlesdickns said.

About 20 percent of Americans are bilingual, with Spanish being the top second language spoken in households around the country, according to data from America the Bilingual.

“These people want Americans to be ashamed of being bilingual when it’s something everyone should be proud of,” @SpaceCowboy8894 began. “When’s the last time you’ve ever seen an administration openly cater to racists, bigots and neonazis like this one?”

@SmindCrypto asked, “How do voters expect this guy to defend their interests if he can’t defend the interests of his family?” The user continued, “JD Vance says it is totally reasonable to not want to live next to people who speak another language. How is America still a champion of democracy when it’s vice president promotes racism?”

@deifrankone tweeted, “these stereotypical tropes about communities are so racist , reused and tired . like bruh , just admit you don’t want to be in a neighborhood that’s not white.”

“He’s no different than Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio,” @JMeanypants wrote. “MAGA is a cult. If anyone denies it, they are a f*****g fool.”
