Cardi B Says She Hasn’t Washed Her Hair in Three Months, and Black Twitter is Surprisingly Divided

It’s not unusual for Cardi B to make the news these days given her rocky divorce proceedings, recently released album and impending fourth child. But the latest reason why she’s making headlines this time around has some fans grossed out and pissed off.

Earlier in the week, the “Bodega Baddie” recently hopped on Instagram Live to have a chat with her fans. During the chat, Cardi appeared with no hair extensions and looked like she was wearing wearing a wig cap. Not too much time later, she began to detail the upcoming plans for her hair.

As you may remember, Cardi and locs were the topic of the timelines in February when fans got a real good look at what her natural hair looked like. Some were surprised that it was kinkier than they thought, which led to some folks talking bad about it and her on social media.

Well, it would seem the “What’s Goin On” rapper would meet a similar fate after her latest video hit the internet as she admitted she hadn’t washed her hair in about three months.

“I’m gonna wash it then on Wednesday I’m gonna braid it. I haven’t washed my sh*t in like two months. Matter of fact I’m lying, like three months, I don’t f*cking know,” Cardi revealed.

She then joked: “I probably got all types of roach eggs, mosquito eggs, everything in this b*tch right here.”

However, for many users online, they saw Cardi’s lack of proper hair hygiene as no laughing matter.

“Aye man y’all condone this nasty shit? Ashamed to even call her a bad bitch,” wrote one user on X/Twitter.

“Not Surprised, She Always Looks Dirty As Hell,” said another.

“Ima throw up for real,” one other user wrote.

“Y’all still blame offset for cheating on her?” one user asked, alluding to her hair regimen being a reason why Cardi and her soon-to-be ex-husband Offset are divorcing.

But there were a handful of fans who came to the “Bodak Yellow” rapper’s defense and called out others for not realizing her comments were jokes.

“Idk what funnier her making fun of her self or ya believing this is true lmao,” said one user.

“She’s literally trolling omg nobody can be fun on here anymore,” another person wrote.

Added one other user: “It’s not unnatural not not wash your hair for two months lmaoo especially when in a protective style.”
