Now that former Vice President Kamala Harris is out of the White House, she’s not holding her tongue back anymore when it comes to President Donald Trump. During a recent stop on her book tour, Harris gave the audience some advice that probably will shock you.
The politician attended the “Day of Unreasonable Conversation” event in Los Angeles to celebrate the release of her new memoir, “107 Days.” The book itself is a tell-all about her 2024 presidential campaign, during which she warned the American people about the dangers of Trump. Now, she’s giving a slightly different warning for Americans afraid of the president’s next steps.
“History is going to write about this,” Harris began referring to the historic campaign season. “And it was important for me that that be told with my voice being present.” After losing in November, Harris kept her chin down and focused on writing her memoir. But after the first few months of Trump’s second term — which has been plagued with nation-wide protests, a government shutdown, tariff wars, political violence and more — Harris is back in the public eye.
“We are living history right now, and you all storytellers are living this,” Harris continued. “You’re not passive observers, you know that. You’re living it, and I would ask you that all the emotions that we are feeling — give those emotions, give that experience to those people that you are writing about and writing for,” she said.
“There is so much about this moment that is trying to make people feel like they’ve lost their minds, when in fact, these motherf*****s are crazy,” she added. In response, the audience roared with applause and laughter. But in truth, Harris’ words couldn’t have come at a better time.
A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll found only 40 percent of Americans approve of the current administration. Trump’s approval has been steadily dropping since he returned to the White House, and as more leaders continue to call him out for ruling like a dictator, Harris wants everyone to know that they’re not crazy.
In response, White House spokesperson Kush Desai said in a statement to TMZ, “Kamala Harris should listen to an audio recording of her cackle of a laugh before calling anyone crazy.”
Folks on X praise Harris for keeping it real. “And she said what she mothafawking said,” @sheabuttakisses wrote.
“This is the Kamala we should’ve got. But instead they had Dems shaking in their boots at calling Republicans ‘weird,'” @brownandbella tweeted. “But she should’ve been out here saying nah fuck all that ‘Not ONLY are they weird, THESE motherfuckers are CRAZY!!!'”
“She told us that was her favorite curse word,” @NiqueChelle said on X.
“…Bihhhh she told yall every damn thing that was gonna occur & yall still choose the rotten orange dude smh,” @BARBiEBODiE tweeted.
Harris’ memoir already made headlines after excerpts from “107 Days” spilled the tea on former President Joe Biden dropping out of the election. She also revealed there was a “red file” on her, which was set up just in case something happened to Biden.
